There the Arsenic Sulphur goes again.....

I last talked about Mr.Lee in my last post (No, not THAT Mr.Lee, who is a teapot (tekko) but the Lab Asst). Monday came, and we went down as usual to the lab, to do some useless experimenting, which in my opinion isn't really an experiment in all, since the answers are given away free and people who sit there waving their burettes get as many marks as those slaving away under the heat. Yes, thats another thing about the lab, it is bloody HOT.

Now, for a bit of a intro to Ionic Equilibrium, Ksp is governed only by temperature. By altering concentration here and there, we should be able to get rather accurate results. When I first walked into the lab, what attracted me was the crystal formations in the beakers for ALL KA4 and KA3 solutions. I looked into my notes and reread that KA3 and KA4 were 0.05M and 0.02M respectively. On the other hand, KA1 and KA2 (0.25M and 0.10M) did not have any crystals in them. Strange don't you think? that less concentrated solutions can crystalize.

As it turned out, the results were exactly the opposite..there can be only one conclusion, that Mr.Lee had again screwed up. Even tekko wasn't really believing, he kept claiming that it was human error in titrating, come on, 36 of us? He also claims that nobody is perfect and so is the LaB AsS. I somehow detected that Tekko had unconventional and biased support for the guy. That makes me think a lot :)

On to Tuesday, reports (modified greatly with extensive reverse calculations) were to be handed in. Then for some reason, Shao Thing's Lou Dao (Tay Hian Swee for those not in the know) barged into our class and then began babbling something to See Tatt... all I can assume is he wanted to see the reports to confirm the Lab Ass's stupendous mistake. After recess, the infamous Belly Yeap (now metamorphed back into Yeap Hock Chye) entered, after talking on absolute nonsense for about 5 mins, he commented on the Hokkien Anthem. Seems everyone knows about it.

CCTV cameras are up and running at the 4 Gates of CLHS, although the placement might have warranted more thought and expertise. D Gate's is kept at the Sampah Tang area, well out of reach I suppose, with that stench there no one will even bother. Camera for the C Gate is situated upon one of the columns. Its situated so low, one may actually walk behind it and pull out the wires.. Gate A and B I am not too sure, so TST if u need to come in late, I suggest u drive at the speed of light. :P

Wednesday : Hong SE told us the not very entertaining news of the fact that our neighbour took 1 Hour 45 Mins to do an experiment, and which they actually failed to complete it.
Just finished watching MythBusters .... a discovery channel programme... a rather interesting show especially for science students... anybody who wants it can get it from me :P
